Registered Nurse - part time
Niagara University, a private Catholic institution sponsored by the Vincentian Community seeks a REGISTERED NURSE - A part time seasonal position in Health Services to perform primary care medical triage, focused history taking, assessment on a broad range of medical problems; Able to initiate urgent care procedures.

Requirements:

Knowledge of the Standards of Nursing Practice, Nursing Ethics, Nursing Laws and Bloodborne Pathogens regulations from OSHA; Knowledge of primary care, medical & emergency nursing care procedures; Knowledge of health promotion, disease prevention priorities and strategies as well as medical documentation practices, nursing process, appropriate use of medications and administration of medications using various routes and obtaining specimens; Knowledge of primary care medical triage; Ability to perform telephone triage and medical triage in the clinic setting; Knowledge of medical insurance issues and community resources; Knowledge of developmental tasks of young adults and the bio-psycho-social-spiritual challenges of students in a college setting; Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

Associates degree (Professional Registered Nurse Certificate of Competency preferred); Experience in data collection using the American College Health Clinical Programs Benchmark; Experience in stocking medications in pharmacy.

Start of pay range is $16.50 per hour.
