Assistant Men's Soccer Coach - (part time seasonal)
Niagara University, a private Catholic university sponsored by the Vincentian Community seeks an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to assist the head coach in developing student athletes academically and athletically for the soccer program.

Contributes to the educational mission of the University by coordinating the instruction of student-athletes in the area of soccer training and competition; Recruits student athletes for the soccer program; Assists Men's varsity coach; Provides motivation, counseling and supervision for student athletes; Monitors study hall, day-to-day class attendance, Early Advantage Program reports and maintains contact with professors regarding students' academic progress; Instructs methods and strategies and coaches student athletes in the sport; Follows and conforms to NCAA rules and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma with high amateur or professional playing and/or coaching experience (Bachelor's degree preferred).
2. At least one year of experience coaching soccer at the high school, college or higher competitive level or at least three years experience playing soccer at the college level or higher. Coaching experience working with goalkeepers is preferred.
3. Valid driver's license that meets insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria.
4. Must pass NCAA recruitment exam with the first year of employment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
2) Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
3) Working knowledge of soccer coaching, specifically working with goalkeepers and teaching techniques and the ability to effectively use them.
4) Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
5) Ability to receive telephone calls, respond to inquiries and communicate with others by telephone.
6) Ability to travel when necessary.
7) Knowledge of recruiting techniques and the ability to effectively use them.
8) Proficiency to handle various office machines including but not limited to: computer keyboard, computer software applications, calculator, copy machine and fax.
9) Knowledge of academic eligibility rules.
10) Ability to drive a personal or university vehicle for the purpose of university business.
